The store was started in 2004 as a small doll shop by myself and my oldest son, Jared. At that point, it was more of a hobby of mine. In 2009, my husband Tom and I decided to branch out and create a small group shop in Holden, ME, gathering vendors and collectors from all around the area. After being there for 2 years and running out of space for our vendors, we decided to move the shop to a larger, more permanent location in our hometown of Ellsworth, ME. We purchased the 15,000 square foot building, renovated and restored it to its original beauty, and held a Grand Opening on April 1st, 2011. With its high ceilings, hard wood floors, and beautiful grand stair case, the H.C. Austin Building, built in 1933 after the Great Fire, is one of Ellsworth’s largest, most stunning, and historic buildings.
